Hi there, I'm Karen
Welcome
I expect life is a bit of an amazing whirlwind right now, it certainly was for me when my two were on their way! One thing is for sure time flew by quicker than I ever thought possible. That is why my love for photography grew, as I tried to capture every tiny detail and memory before we moved on to the next exciting stage. I would love to help you capture those very early days as your bond grows with your newest addition. So have a look around and get in touch if you want to know more.
I was not prepared for the beautiful chaos of Motherhood...
Hiking though rainforests, learning to fly a plane, scuba diving, completing my degree, having 2 gap years and travelling the world, none of it has been quite as challenging, or rewarding, as becoming a mother. Despite the expectations and advice everyone seems to have nothing quite prepared me for the overwhelming love I felt for my children before they were even born and I’m so excited for you (and also slightly envious) that you are just starting out on this incredible motherhood journey for yourself.

Some lesser known facts about me...
My family moved home 10 times by the time I was 18!
I love to travel..but my country count has stalled at 31...need to start being more adventurous with the children!
My big weakness is chocolate...it doesn't have to be fancy...chocolate buttons are my favourite!
I'm terrified of fish (not sure why I thought scuba diving was a good idea!)
Being outdoors in the sunshine with my family makes me happiest!

It is never too early, or late, to book your in-home session. Maternity sessions are scheduled for 32-38 weeks and we can pencil you in for a newborn session 7-14 days after your due date, but there is always flexibility in my calendar as I know new arrivals don't often come on schedule. If your little one is already here, congratulations...let's talk and see if we can get you booked in.
